Summer Drivers Education instruction is tentatively scheduled to begin on Monday, June 6, 2011, and continue through Thursday, July 14, 2011. Students must have their driving permits by the first day of the course. Classroom instruction is conducted each day Monday through Thursday for 90 minutes for the entire six weeks.The State of Illinois requires a minimum of 30 hours of classroom instruction.
Students who miss more than six hours of classroom instruction will not receive credit for the classroom phase of the course.
Attendance is mandatory the last four days of the classroom phase of the course as final exams are scheduled for those days. The State requires a minimum of six hours of behind-the-wheel instruction. Students cannot be absent from the behind-the-wheel phase of the course. Students who are absent from behind-the-wheel instruction will not receive credit for the behind-the-wheel phase of the course. All summer Driver's Education will be held at the Almond campus.

Summer Driverís Education permit applications will be available the first week of May.
Students need to be 15 years of age by
the beginning of class, must have passed 8 classes in the previous two
semesters, and must have their permits on the fist day of class.

Classroom is 4 days a week, Monday through
7:00-8:30 or 8:30-10:00 or 10:00-11:30
BTW is 2 days a week. You will drive either
Monday and Wednesday OR Tuesday and Thursday. The times are:
6:00-7:00 or 7:00-8:30 or 8:30-10:00 or
10:00-11:30 or 11:30-1:00
REMEMBER IT IS VERY IMPORTANT NOT TO MISS ANY
SUMMER SCHOOL CLASSES BECAUSE OF THE STATE REQUIREMENTS. YOU CANNOT
PASS IF YOU DO NOT MEET THESE REQUIREMENTS.
