The Warren Township High School Educational Technology Department was established in August, 1994, to address the growing needs of the district to manage, guide, and maintain the growing number of devices and uses for technology in the district. Initially, the positions of Director, Instructional Aide, and Technician were created; and the library and audio-visual departments were included to create the new department. With the upgrade of the infrastructure and the installation of new voice, data, and video systems at the O'Plaine Campus, and with a second facility, additional positions were added in the fall of 1997. The department now serves students, staff, and administrative users of networked computers, telephones, the video distribution system, and print and electronic media.
