Head Coach Michael Edler: 

Michael Edler returns to the Warren Girls’ program as the Sophomore Head Coach. Formally serving on the Freshman Girls’ staff, Michael coached the Freshman team. Michael also serves as the Boys’ Tennis Assistant Varsity coach at Warren and was formally the Girls’ Tennis Varsity coach. His coaching career began at Driscoll Catholic High School in Addison, IL where Michael was the Freshman Girls’ Basketball Coach and as the Boys’ and Girls’ Tennis coach for the Highlanders. Michael teaches English at Warren’s Almond Road Campus. Other than basketball and tennis; Michael’s interests include reading, writing, adding to his massive music collection, and walking his Golden Retriever, Ahli.

 

 

 

 

Assistant Coach Tim Peterson: 

 

Coach Peterson graduated from Illinois Wesleyan University with a Bachelor’s Degree in English and a minor in Secondary Education. He has received his Masters in Curriculum and Instruction from Olivet Nazarene University.  Coach Peterson completed his second Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Northern Illinois University.  Tim has been coaching basketball at Warren for thirteen years. His career began as sophomore assistant. Tim also served as freshman head coach and he had been the head sophomore coach for four years before moving to assistant with the birth of his son Joshua. Tim has also coached softball at the freshman level at Warren. Prior to Warren Tim coached freshman boys at York High School in Elmhurst.  While at Illinois Wesleyan, Tim competed for four years on the swim team. He was 3 time captain and MVP. Coach Peterson led the IWU swim team to its first ever CCIW conference championship in swimming during his senior year at IWU.  Currently, Coach Peterson runs marathons and competes in triathlons. Coach Peterson teaches English at the O’Plaine Road campus. He has been at Warren for 13 years and taught just about every level of freshman and sophomore English. His favorite authors include Mark Twain and John Steinbeck.
